George! George! GEORRRRRRGEEEEE!

FECKITY FECK FECK
A small portrait of me on, in honor of my commute on the George Washington Bridge.  George, a nice President but a terrible Bridge.

It's been so cold here lately, that I've reassembled into full form of Snow Woman.  I reattached that ambiguous Chinese sausage/ organic carrot/ peenus nose back on.

Thank PAN it is Friday!  I don't relish the thought of the drive back home.

  1. Hugs for ya! I hate the commute, but at least I can think of things instead of being safe on da road. I thought that you were on unicycle at first, hee hee.

    1. Unicycle is ironic since I only learned to ride a bicycle about 3 weeks ago?

I probably need to do this for as long as I'd like to remain employed. D: D: D:

  3. By George! Is that Belly I see conquering that bridge?
Tell me you drew this Pictures with Friends style while stuck on the bridge.

But no, this was on my lunch break. :)

    1. Ugh Claire. I left slightly late from the office on Friday and it was 45 minutes just approaching the bridge. THis is going to be a sucky sucky summer.

  5. I hope your evening commute was smooth and uneventful, but I have to say that I really love the drawing. It's very evocative. Belly vs Bridge. And the frowning sun is an especially nice touch. Hehehe

    1. The commute was N.G.! I'm glad you liked the drawing, Rachel. See, more encouraging comments like this will convince me to do all my posts with Microsoft Paint. Hmm... I should do all my swatch pictures with this.

  6. Aww this sucks, sorry you have to go through that but I must say that even with a frown, you make one stunning snow woman! I'll consider myself lucky for the 40 min it takes me from my door step to my office chair! Is this suppose to stop soon?

    1. Oh! 40 sounds very reasonable to me! My normal (non-driving) commute is a bit over 1 hour door to door, and I don't mind it so much. This bridge commute is about an hour (and then plus much more with bad traffic). I just really don't enjoy driving. That's just not my thing.

I don't think it stops any time soon. :((

  7. I'm so sorry about your commuting troubles, but that drawing is PERFECT (the caption is a nice touch). Hang in there.
