Tom Ford Spring 14 Swatch Set

Innocent trip to take a quick look at Tom Ford Spring 14 yields many dangerous feels.
Tom Ford Spring 14 at Bergdorf Goodman
Tom Ford released a new lip product called Lip Conditioners loaded up with Vitamin E, C and Shea Butter.  Beautiful colors and higher pigmentation than the Lip Shines (here).  While I am pretty ok to walk on by, the retro cream/gold containers make me want to grab all of them.  Anyone buy things just for the containers and packagings?  WAHHHH!

Here they are, swatched up in the following order:

top row
  • Sweet Spot
  • Summer Fling
  • Paradiso
  • Incorrigible
second row
  • In the Buff
  • Pink Dune
  • Firecracker
  • Bittersweet - eeh!  brown is back!
Store lighting
There's a fair bit of gold shimmer in several of the colors.  I just can't remember which!  :(  Incorrigible and Firecracker have major pigmentation, with both leaving deep stains on my skin.  Can't comment on the wear or how they feel on the lips since I only drooled on them at the counter and swatched on my hand.  Nice soft shiny finish though and scented with that dusty vanilla scent.

The nail polishes also come in the cream/gold bottles.  I was never particularly thrilled with how nail polishes went on previously.  Especially for the very expensive price point.  I did think that these in particular seemed nicer than the ones I've tried before, with much for smoother application.

The four limited edition colors are:
  • Incandescent - a truly spectacular metallic rose gold.  *weeps*
  • Sand Dune
  • Coral Beach
  • Indiscretion

For those of you contemplating some purchases, Tom Ford is available at the Bergdorf Goodman counter now.  Winnie, the counter manager can help you! (212) 872-2813.  (I am not affiliated)  And it is also online now at Nordstrom.

Hope this helps with your purchases!

  2. Now this makes me happy ^^.
The lippies seem to have really nice pigment, something I was missing in the other lipsticks (not the regular ones).
    Must resist!

    1. I think this is a nicer level of pigment than the Shines and in my mind, a better value! :) heh hehe. Although hard to say such an expensive lipstick is any kind of a "value."

  3. Huh, I left a comment earlier using my iPad, but it doesn't seem to have "taken". Round 2, more or less:

I'm relieved to report the new TF spring collection doesn't really blow up my skirt. Ah, let them go tempt someone else!

  5. OH. MY. GOD. I'd have a summer fling with Summer Fling RIGHT NOW! I take that back. I'd have a summer fling with all the shades in the first row! Thanks for the swatches, Belly! No idea if these will be available in Belgium (so far only the nail polishes and regular lipsticks are), but I'd definitely be keeping an eye out!

    1. Dude, I would have a Summer Fling right NOW, too! If only it weren't for this craptastic weather! I wonder if since this is a np/lipstick collection it would make it to all the counters that only carry those products.

  6. Dang girl, you got these posted fast!! I'm glad I've seen these swatches; they validate my Nordstrom.com purchase earlier today of Summer Fling (sight unseen). Although I kinda want Incorrigible now too...

    1. Being 2 blocks from Bergdorf Goodman tends to be a good thing. Or is it a bad thing? Definitely a bad thing for my wallet, that's for sure.

Summer Fling is beautiful! I hope you enjoy it!

    1. They are easily blotted down to a more easily wearable shade, but I think those are standout shades! I hope you love them, Ruby!

  11. Oh man, Incandescent and Indiscretion are both calling to me, but I never feel like buying high-end nail polishes are worth it. We'll see how long I can hold out!

    1. I'm afraid for some reason the price point of the nail polishes are making me choke a bit. I am really lusting after Incandescent, too, but not sure I can pull the trigger. I spend lunch hour Friday swatch all likely rose gold dupes and can not find one I adore as much! D:

  12. Belly, my love! I think you have created a lemming... Bittersweet! How brown is it? It looks lovely against your creamy skin :D~~~~

    1. Bern! Smoochies! Smooooooch!

Bittersweet to my recollection is kind of very brown, but also on the sheer side and leaning cool. It's unique for sure, but also I think challenging to wear having no burgundy/red tones.

  13. Love the polishes but I will prefer the lipsticks. I really want Summer Fling,Paradiso, Incorrigible and fire cracker. Is firecracker more towards orange? :)

    1. Firecracker is definitely on the orange side of the red/orange spectrum. That one is really hot!

  15. Oh my, gorgeous! I've been waiting for swatches of these so thank you for braving the snow and ice and posting these.

Is Paradiso as pretty as it looks? Would you mind telling me your description of Paradiso since you've seen it in person? *pretty please* :) If you can remember of course. I've seen another set of swatches but on every screen I look at these swatches on I see the color differently.

I usually don't wear bright colors but I'm considering it now perhaps because I have a case of the winter doldrums. Can you remember if Paradiso leans more red, or pink, or is it just a perfect mixture of gorgeousness? :) Thank you again Belly for the wonderful swatches. You always seem to know how to make me spend more money (and apparently make me hungry after reading your post above), LOL I see an online order from Nordstrom in my extremely near future.

    1. Hi Dawn! I recall Paradiso being more of a corally pink, heftier on the pink end of the spectrum. :)) Very pretty shade. Hope you are having a great weekend!

      Delete
  16. Ah Belly, you're killing me here. A corally pink sounds exactly what I've been yearning for. I had considered Chanel's Triomphe but after researching more I was afraid it would be too pink. My lips have quite a bit of color in them already so picking out lipsticks is always hard for me because they never look the same on me no matter what I do. But I think this is one color I'm going to go ahead and splurge on. I will let you know how it goes when it arrives! :) Thanks for your help in pushing me over that edge to go ahead and press the order button, LOL.

Unfortunately we are recovering from the flu in our house, all of us had it, but thankfully we are on the mend. I hope your weekend was better than mine. :)

  17. Thank you so much for the swatches! I've been torturing myself trying to decided which to buy. Now I've narrowed it down to Summer Fling and Paradiso... I shouldn't get BOTH, but that might end up happening : -p
