Happy Thanksgivukkah!

The magnificent convergence of Thanksgiving and Hanukkah won't be back for another 70,000 years!  Let's us celebrate the Festival of Lights with turkey latkes.  Wait, I don't like turkey.  I love a good latke, though.

Whatever you celebrate, if you are celebrating it, have a wonderful holiday!  I chopped up a load of onions and made myself teary.  But all in anticipation of excellent noshing tomorrow.  Ah!  Happy days.

On makeupalley, the venerable Driveller posted a challenge to recreate a most challenging and most green look.  I give it a go:
Pretty sure this didn't turn out anything like the inspiration picture Kate posted:

  1. LOL happy Thannksgivukkah, Belly! This is such a dramatic look ;) I already had an early celebration this past weekend (biggest turkey coma ever), and tomorrow is just a normal day for me. So jealous of all the nice food you're going to get though!

    1. Thanks, Sunny! Hope your last turkey excursion was satisfactory (coma-wise)! This is definitely NOT a look for going outside. ;)

  2. Hahaha! You captured the model's expression and pose PERFECTLY!! Where did you find the yellow eyeshadow? Happy holidays from now until New Year's! :D

    1. Is it the slightly vacant, slight squint look of being underwater? :DDD
Yellow from Soda Lunch quad. Hey, you going to do this one?

    2. I have neither green nor yellow in my stash. Don't know if I should feel left out of the fun or... RELIEVED. XD

  3. I'm willing to bet the lady in the photo doesn't look anything like that photo either :-P What a fun post!

    1. The more I studied her face, the more extra "artful" it appeared. ;) So much fun. I suspect your Canadian T-giving a while back was equally food coma inducing?

    2. Yes, we get our food comas out of the way in October, so that we have extra time before round two in December.

  4. Happy Happy Thanksgivukkah! I will have a latke and think of you in your beautiful green makeup look! xx

  5. Happy Thanksgivukkah to all! xo

  6. Replies
    1. Hmm, are you sure you are not thinking of mashugana?

  7. Happy thanksgiving to you too Belly. I love your version of the green eye look more. You look stunning and It looks more real than the lady who was eaten by the computer graphics ;-)

    1. Thank you, Sara! It was all good fun!

  8. LOL!!! Belly that is awesomely hilarious!!! Whoever said makeup was pure vanity ? :p
And don't get to have turkey again in a couple of weeks time!

    1. I have tons of vanity, just no pride! :DD
No turkey for me and none this thanksgiving. We did a big rib roast, which was way more delicious imo.

  9. LOL all the fun that I missed! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving, Belly!
