Chanel Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Presage

I've already shared with you my thoughts and swatches of Fantastic, and today a view of Presage.  Presage is limited edition with this Fall collection, so if this type of color moves you and you are in the mood to spring for a Chanel cream blush, then you may want to give this one a try.  Yah?  Yah?

To my rather unartistic and untrained eye, in the pan, Presage looks pretty orange.  Well, with a bit of warm pink in it for me to call it peach.  What is peach anyway?  Pinky orange?  Orangy pink?  Or is that coral?  My original bias against this color is that with so much yellow in my skin, I'm going to end up looking like a giant citrus fruit and I don't want to look like that!  But, as I mentioned LE and the pretty swatch in the store, and new and novelty and Chanel and all that, I gave this one a try.

Not my usual cup of tea or joe.  This one is completely shimmer free, unlike the pan picture of Fantastic.  Indirect light, which makes the swatch look more pink and less orange.
Here are some comparisons to a few peaches and corals.  I recently purged Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Cabo Coral.  I wonder if that color is similar to Presage.
I quibbled a bit about how Fantastic faded quite a bit.  I wore out Presage (and LOTS OF IT) and it lasted a good 6 hours with some minor fading.  I can't figure out what makes Presage last versus Fantastic and Revelation.  Maybe I need to really layer it on?  I can't guess what it is, so perhaps you can read some other perspectives in other blogs to help determine if it will last for you.

Chanel has a sister company Bourjois and Bourjois produces a cream to powder blush range.  I had been wondering how they compare.  Somehow, it seems to have landed on my doorstep!  And because Nicole is amazing and can predict my future makeup desires, color 02 that she sent me has some striking similarities to Presage!  (Different country of origin, by the way.  Bourjois from France and Chanel from Italy)
The colors are in the same family, with Bourjois 02 being paler.  The texture is also quite different.  The Bourjois is harder, denser with resistance when I swipe the pan with my finger.  The Chanel is creamier and softer in the pan, though has a unique dry feel.  The powder transformation feel from Bourjois is also more pronounced.
Back to Presage, my thoughts on the formula still remain as in my post on Fantastic.  It blends well but still seems to rest on top of my skin and not really melding into it.  However, I am really enjoying the color of Presage.  Despite my initial reservations on this color, I'm really enjoying how pretty and natural Presage looks.

I'm wearing Presage here in an all out peachy + purply look.  To get Presage to show up on my camera, I'm wearing Clowntastic amounts.
Other products used:
Face: Chantecaille Future Skin, Ellis Faas concealer under eyes
Eyes: Suqqu brow palette in Moss Green, Shiseido eye shadow trio in Beach Grass, Tom Ford eye liner in Espresso, Fasio Ultra Curl Lock Mascara Volume
Lips: Chantecaille Lip Chic in Daphne - which is looking kind of pale pink, but is quite peachy in person

My mouth is open, not seductively, but to allow the bugs to fly in
All in all, loving the colors of the cream blushes.  Enjoying the matte, but not flat texture on the my cheeks.  Still a bit unsure about how long they last.

    1. oh sad. But Fantastic looks marvelous and so wonderful on you. I was thinking about picking up Affinite but I think I will pass. I think that bright pink will look a bit terribl-sunburnish on me and I'm still not 100% convinced of the formula to pick up another one.

  3. This looks so gorgeous on you. I know how much more one has to apply for the camera to show up. Sometimes I think "oh this looks terrible" but then the photos turn out fine :-) Anyway, I really like this color on you, looks so natural. I was expecting this a bit more orange but looks more red? Anyway it is too late, I ordered it and it is on the way to me.
